Travel to Old Waiotapu Road on State Highway 5.  A sign will point to Kersosene Creek and Wai-o-Tapu Forest Camp.

    Turn into that road.

The road is unsealed and you will drive for 2 kilometers until you get to a white forestry gate.  On the right there is parking for people visiting Kerosene Creek.

The gate is normally locked, so unless you are expected, you will not be able to enter.  Access is only possible when it is pre-arranged with the Camp Resident, or if your group has already uplifted a key and is operating the gate.

Once you are through the Forestry gate, continue on for approximately 650 meters when there is a road on your left.  There is another sign pointing to Wai-o-tapu Forest Camp.  Turn left.

Stay on this road for approximately 1.7 km and you will arrive at the Forest Camp site.
