I've spent many days and nights at Waiotapu Camp over the years, but it is the simple things that stick in your mind.

The sound of the stream running beside the camp.

The moreporks at night.

The moon and the stars visible as they should be seen: without any light pollution.

The enticing smells coming from the kitchen at the end of the day, and then the delicious food and good company, away from my usual life - "out there".

With other camps competing with the latest and greatest technologies and features, Waiotapu continues to deliver an experience that is as unpolluted as the environment it is in.

We will continue to come back here to introduce Rotorua youth to a genuine outdoor camp so they too can build memories that last.
